Taste of india - organic Masala Chai
Namaste. Chai is everywhere in India. Wherever you go you will be greeted with a sweet and spicy cup of chai either by a chai wallah in the street or train station or warmly welcomed into somebodys home with a chai invitation. Every family has their own chai recipe handed down through generations of grandmothers. Our version of this iconic Indian tradition is based on a brew of strong black tea balanced with tantilizing and exotic spices.
Ingredients: organic black tea (camellia sinensis), ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, liquorice root, cloves, fennel, pepper, star anise. All ingredients are certified organic.
To brew: 1tsp tea per cup. For a quick cup infuse in freshly boiled water 3-4min. Enjoy with or without milk. Sweeten to taste. Traditional stovetop method: 1tsp tea per cup. One part water, one part milk (dairy, soy or nut). Heat tea & water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil & add milk. Simmer for about 5 minutes to release spice flavours. Sweeten with honey to taste.

Organic Rooibos Chai is a blend of exotic spices and warm African sunshine. Rooibos (or red bush) is not a tea but a native plant found only in the Cedarberg Mountains of the Western Cape, South Africa. It has been enjoyed for centuries by the locals and is rich in minerals and antioxidents. This earthy blend is inspired by the aromatic spices in my mother's kitchen and the nurturing cooking aromas of my childhood. Vibrant spices are beautifully balanced with the slighty sweet, smooth nutty flavours of Rooibos. Naturally caffeine free means you are enable to enjoy any time day or night.
Ingredients: Certified organic Rooibos (South Africa), certified organic ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, liquorice root, cloves, fennel, pepper, star anise, coriander seed & bay leaf.

golden turmeric chai
Golden Turmeric Chai is a soothing, spicy, golden elixir, rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric has been used for centuries to ease digestion and boost the immune system with studies now revealing that turmeric can also help fight heart disease, arthritis, depression and so much more. A cup of golden goodness in the evening will also help you sleep.
Ingredients: Organic turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg
To brew: Stovetop method (serves x 2): For a rich and creamy cup of golden chai add 1tsp chai mix per cup to a saucepan. Add 1 x cup water and bring to the boil. Simmer 3-4 mins. Add 1 x cup milk (dairy, nut, soy or coconut) and simmer for a further 3-4 mins. Add 1-2 tsp honey to taste. Take saucepan off heat and strain liquid through a sieve straight into a mug. Serve hot.
To enjoy without milk just add boiling water to half a teaspoon of chai mix and infuse 3-4 mins. Add honey to taste.
